Lebanon will rise again...
The war which started on April 13, 1975 has not ended yet.
Not in my book. See, I was a student like these heroes below, when the events that
triggered the war took place. We started by demonstrating, too... A couple of months
later, we were fighting for our land...
This time, I hope that this generation will never have to
go to war... and that Lebanon will rise again, peacefully.
English translation: "No to an occupied
Lebanon"
Students have demonstrated yesterday against the tenacious
occupation of Lebanon by both, Syria and Israel

newspaper, "La Presse" on December 19th, 1997.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
I'll let the Lebanese weekly email news "Shufimafi" (which means: "what's up?" in Lebanese :-) relate to
you the story:

====Banning of Aoun interview sparks demonstrations
and strikes
The arrest last Sunday by riot police of 66
students who gathered outside Murr Television
(MTV)'s building in Ashrafieh to protest a decision
by
Information minister BASSEM AS-SABAA
to
ban a scheduled interview with former Prime
minister MICHEL AOUN sparked a nationwide wave of
protests. As students from private and state
universities staged on-campus demonstrations,
Lebanon's two bar associations announced an
unprecedented three-day strike. The Engineers
Union also announced a 24-hour stoppage. On
Tuesday, State prosecutor ADNAN ADDOUM
announced that all 66 detainees had been released
without being charged. However, the students protest
movement continued unabated, culminating in a sit-in
staged by 2,000 students in front of the Parliament
building in Beirut yesterday.

I won't even bother to comment, approve or
disapprove... I am totally disgusted... I can only pray for that one day, my
motherland, Lebanon will finally have it's D-day ...
Lebanon is the only country in the world and in
history, which was mentioned by name in the Holy Bible ... 71 times!!!
(Yes, SEVENTY ONE) . (This is the most solid proof that Lebanon was never
part of other countries ... At the contrary, Lebanon's neighbouring countries
were once part of it. This is a historic fact.)
The 71st time, it was in Zecharias terrifying prophecy:
[Zech 11:1.5] Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the
fire may devour thy cedars.
[Zech 11:2] Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen;
because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage
is come down
